Son of Dracula Vlad Țepeș and Lisa Fahrenheit. Alucard fell for Lilith's compassion, inquisitiveness, shared introversion and love of the arts (also the fact that she always smiles at his dry attempts at humor...) He is "constantly perplexed by the intricacies of social interaction" (via Konami's website) yet she never makes him feel out of place, and he appreciates her straightforwardness. He never has to guess or read between the lines with Lilith, and as someone who has experienced the bitterness of betrayal one too many times, her honesty is a quality he greatly reveres. Overall he trusts her deeply and finds her very easy to talk to and share thoughts with her, a rarity for him...despite being a man of few words typically, he could spend hours in deep conversation with Lilith.
He turned Lilith five years into their relationship following her attempted murder. While he doesn't regret having prevented Lilith's death, the immense guilt of having sacrificed her humanity for her life weighs heavy on him.
"I've condemned you to this existence..."

♱ Alucard tends to express his affection towards Lilith in small, intimate gestures rather than words. Things like gently brushing her hair out of her face, remembering details about her, or leaving a book he thinks she'll like by her bedside.
♱ He's very detached and avoidant at times, often disappearing for weeks or months at a time. Lilith has grown used to this aspect of him and knows he'll always come back to her eventually, so she doesn't let it hinder their relationship in any way (another thing he greatly appreciates about her, and a big reason as to why he eventually married her.)
♱ A skilled shapeshifter, he can transform into a bat, wolf, and mist. He can also shift his appearance, transforming into Genya in present times.
♱ Prefers to fight with melee weaponry, while Lilith utilizes long-range magic attacks, making them a formidable pair in battle.
♱ Their dates typically consist of moonlit walks, stargazing, browsing museums, shrines, and art galleries, and sharing a bottle of fine wine while people-watching and inventing fictional stories about the people they see.

Born in late 19th century Meiji Era Japan, during a time when the country was rapidly undergoing a period of westernization. Alucard's lover, a witch who gained an interest in dark magic early in life. Fiercely independent, she is not quick to trust people and can come off as intimidating, but deep down she is a romantic at heart, with a teasing yet affectionate and loyal nature reserved for those she truly loves. Alucard likes to compare her to a rose: guarded by sharp thorns but blossoms beautifully as you get to know her, until you find at her core a gentle soul that has a lot of love to give.
Lilith was turned by Alucard in 1899 after a group of men ambushed and attempted to murder her, blaming her witchery for the misfortunes that befell them. Though he was successful in preventing her death, her inability to control her dark nature as a vampire has led to rifts between her and Alucard at times, leading to a complicated on-and-off relationship spanning over a century.
"...you gave me another chance at life."
♱ Lilith can shapeshift into a bat, rose petals, and a monstrous creature resembling a giant centipede (her demon form.)
♱ Has slit pupils, and her eyes do not seem to reflect any light.
♱ While Alucard tends to express his affection quietly through actions, Lilith is more verbal with her love, offering him constant reassurance and reminding him how much he means to her.
♱ As a vampire Lilith cannot be exposed to sunlight, so she heavily relies on sun hats, veils, and parasols during the day (this also works to hide her vampire features.)
♱ She is a little better at keeping up with modern trends and lingo than Alucard is.
♱ Is well aware of Alucard's birth name, Adrian, as he confided in her once she gained his trust enough. By this time though, he'd been going by "Alucard" for well over 400 years (she called him "Adrian" the first time they got intimate and they both decided it was weird, so she almost exclusively refers to him as Alucard.)
♱ She is trailed by the scent of roses and dark cherry. Her perfume of choice in modern day is Bloody Wood by Liquides Imaginaires.
♱ Her nails are always filed into a sharp stiletto shape and painted deep blood red, dark plum, or black.
Born in 1873, Lilith was the daughter of Japanese immigrants who settled in New Orleans and owned their own mercantile/shipping company that brought goods from Japan to America. She took an interest in dark magic at an early age and as an adult, she ran a small apothecary that acted as a front for her true services—if one knew whom to ask, Lilith could perform spells and hexes in exchange for coin. Her clientele consisted of mainly women in abusive marriages, those seeking vengeance against unfaithful husbands, and women trapped in loveless marriages who sought freedom. Lilith herself remained an unmarried woman and had little interest in conforming to society’s expectations. Her parents had arranged for her to marry on more than one occasion, but she would simply hex her suitors until they would leave on their own. She had her work and a loyal clientele who valued her services, and she was perfectly content with the life she had made for herself. It was during Alucard’s travels through the Americas that their paths first crossed. Lilith sensed that there was something unusual about the mysterious traveler. She could tell he was not entirely human, yet rather than fear him, she found herself intrigued. Curiosity drew her towards the dhampir, and what began as a chance encounter blossomed into a close friendship. They'd spend long hours in deep conversation, discussing everything from the perplexing expectations of society to the cosmos and mysteries of existence. Lilith was enamored by stories of his travels, while Alucard found himself drawn to her sharp wit and unusual perspective on the world. In time, their friendship deepened into something more.Alucard and Lilith were five years into their relationship when the secret of her apothecary was eventually discovered by a group who blamed her witchery for the misfortunes that had befallen the men in the city, and they plotted to ambush and murder the witch. Alucard realized something was wrong when Lilith failed to appear for their planned date and went searching for her. He eventually found her laying in a pool of her own blood, having detected the scent, he'd arrived just as her life began slipping away. They had agreed for Lilith to be turned one day, but this decision came after a lot of back-and-forth, mostly pushback on Alucard's part, and Alucard was not supposed to be the one to do it; they'd found a member of a vampire coven nearby who agreed to turn her when the time was right. But right now, her life and her fate lay in his hands. Alucard, having gone through so much loss in his life, who could not bear to lose another one dear to him, turned her in her final moments in a blindly desperate act to save the woman he loved and cherished so dearly, preserving her life for eternity.

Alucard was never the same after the incident.
Yes, he prevented Lilith's death, but the guilt and trauma of turning his lover reawakened an old fear within him: the fear that despite everything he had done to distance himself from Dracula, he might one day become like his father. He briefly considered withdrawing from the world, returning to the solitude he had known for centuries, sealing himself away where he could love no one and hurt no one, but there was simply no way he could leave Lilith alone to fend for herself. He wished to help her navigate her new life as a vampire.Unfortunately, since Lilith had consumed the blood of the Dark Lord himself indirectly through Alucard, her early stages of vampirism were more intense than most...she had a feral aggression about her and, struggling to control her dark nature, would descend into a mad state. Often taking on the form of a demonic beast, she would, on multiple occasions, even try to kill Alucard. Lilith's inability to control her transformations caused her to tearfully part ways with her beloved; believing it would be best if they stayed away from each other.Alucard would regretfully not see Lilith again until the 1920s. Over the next century, they would have an on-and-off relationship. They would reunite, briefly rekindling their relationship through the passing decades, at least in the moments when Lilith could gain some control of herself. Unfortunately, their times together were always short-lived, with Lilith having to remove herself from his life time and time again lest her demonic nature consume her and bring him harm. While Lilith spent years travelling in search of ancient grimoires, forgotten rituals, and forbidden spells to control her dark nature, Alucard researched magic seals and ways to bind the demon in her so that she may lead a normal life again.Lilith did not partake in the Demon Castle War of 1999, opting to avoid running into the Belmonts, but in the 2020s she would reunite with Alucard in Japan. Alucard, now operating under the human identity Genya Arikado, began working with a secret government agency aiming to prevent the resurgence of the Dark Lord. Having sealed his own power away along with Dracula's castle, Alucard had the Hakuba clan bind Lilith's demonic nature. After over 100 years, she was finally free to be with Alucard again. Following the events of Dawn of Sorrow, the two would privately exchange vows at the Hakuba Shrine, where they share a home closeby.

In 1890s New Orleans, there lived a woman named Lilith who ran a small apothecary, providing herbs and remedies for all sorts of ailments. In certain circles however, another name followed her: The Belladonna. If one knew whom to ask, Lilith could provide spells, hexes, and deadly tinctures that no apothecary would dare sell. Her clientele consisted of women, mainly those with abusive husbands, those seeking to be freed from loveless or arranged marriages, and women seeking discreet remedies for unwanted pregnancies. Others came with darker requests, seeking curses to be placed upon unfaithful husbands and cheating lovers. Lilith herself remained an unmarried woman and had little interest in conforming to society’s expectations. Her parents had arranged for her to marry on more than one occasion, but she would simply hex her suitors until they would leave on their own. They had ambushed and sought to murder her to put an end to "The Belladonna" forever. Alucard realized something was wrong when Lilith failed to appear for their planned meeting and went looking for her, arriving just as her life began to slip away. In a desperate and rather impulsive act to save the woman he had come to love, he turned Lilith in her final moments, preserving her life for eternity.
